A choose your own adventure story: when AI upends the known world, who will you be in the new one?

The story today follows a woman named Julie—a composite of so many people I’ve coached, loved, and maybe even been myself at times. It’s a story set just slightly in the future, and it’s designed to show you two very different ways you might respond when the world gets uncertain, disorienting, or even a little frightening.

In the story, Julie doesn’t just face personal challenges—she also has to navigate the larger cultural tides that are already beginning to rise: the loss of stable work, the weight of caregiving, climate disruption, the quiet erosion of meaning.

And at the heart of it all is the question: How can we find an anchor in a world that’s changing faster than we are ready for? And how does that impact the world we experience and create?

You’ll hear two versions of Julie’s future. One where she retreats into armor and old patterns—and one where she opens because she’s anchored in something real. Something internal.

This story is meant to be A what-if. A map of possibility.

And at the end of the story, I’ll offer you a way to learn to create an extraordinary experience within a world that’s uncertain and maybe makes you feel uneasy.
